From Our Own Correspondent. The committee of the local Plunket Society held a most enjoyable dance in the hall on Monday night The function which was well attended, especially by the young people of the district, was organised to raise funds for this sub-branch. Mrs. Kearney provided the music for dances, extras being given by Mrs. C. Stanley and Miss Signal. A dainty home-made supper was supplied by the branch members. The Apiti A team is (o play the 1\ im bolt on team at Kimbolton on Saturday. The B team will meet llaugiwahia at the local courts for the flaythorno Cup match. The Social Committee of the Apiti Athletic Sjtorts Club met on Saturday evening last. Mr. C. F. Viles was in the chair. It was decided a card and dance evening following the sports meeting. The secretary will arrange for an orchestra and also for the catering for this function. Several hundred prime fat iambs have been sent to the freezing works at Feilding and also to "Wanganui. Miss Joan Martin has returned to Feilding after spending the week end with her parents at Table Flat. and Mrs. G. If, Gubbins have taken,
up residence in the schooihouse and have as their guest, Mrs. Cook, of Wellington. The Misses Mclntyre have returned to their home in Wa.ganui.
