Inter-club Tennis at Bulls
From Our Own Correspondent. Honours were even in the home and home tennis match organised on Saturday between the Bulls and Marton tennis clubs, the "A” match, played at Bulls, resulting in a win for the latter, while Marton had a similar victory over the Bulls ‘B’ team. Details of the matches are given as under, the Bulls players being mentioned first in each cash: — “A” Teams. Men’s Singles: P. RaLfe 9 v. J. Howard 4; F. Raifc 9 v. M. C. Fenwickc 8; N. Amos 5 v. K. Bulls Cricket Club had their colours lowered during tho week-end when they tried conclusions with Flock House, the home side winning by 56 runs. Young (18 not out), York (16) and Hitching (10) were the only batsmen to compile decent scores. Farrow (35), Hamilton (18), Michael (14) and Campbell (17) compiled the most of the 108 runs scored by Flock House. There is every chance that work on tarscaling the Bulls-Turakina road will .1 commenced next month, and if this is correct the news will be received with joy by the regular users of this highway and passing motorists, - who are both at some loss to know which is the better road—the section in question or the Sanson-Himatangi!
