A special parade of the Feilding Boy Scouts will be held in the Manchester Street School at 6 o’clock inis evening.
The primary and secondary schools in .Feilding and district will resume next Tuesday after the Christmas vacation. Wednesday being People’s Day of the Feilding Show, will be a holiday for the local schools.
Scholars of the Feilding Baptist Sunday School held their annual picnic at Mr. Hocken’s property, Colyton, on Monday and spent an enjoyable day in ideal surroundings.
A lengthy cortege followed the remains of the late Mr. David Pryde to tho Feilding cemetery yesterday afternoon. Members of the Feilding Borough Council acted as pall-bcarcrs and there were also present at the graveside the Mayor, representatives of other local bodies, cx-Mayors, and the Feilding Golf Club. The beautiful floral tributes deposited at the grave signified tho esteem in which the deceased was held by a large circle of friends.
