From Our Own Correspondent. Much excitement was occasioned locally on Monday morning by tho Southern Cross passing directly overhead en route from Hawke's Bay to Wanganui. The ’plane was dying very low, and the weather being fine a splendid view of the glittering monster, with tho lettering clearly visible, was to be obtained as she sped by on her northward journey. Personal Her friends will regret to learn that Miss Trilby Marshall is an inmate. of the Palmerston North Public Hospital. Miss Phyllis Green is at present visiting Nelson for the purpose of. attending tho summer school. Miss Violet Green is Staying with relatives at Makino. Miss Joan Dormer, who has been on a short visit to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Luxmoore, Kiwitca, returned home on Sunday, accompanied by Miss Margaret Luxmoore.
