Reported Reduction Of Overdraft Rate
"PURE SPECULATION" SAYS MR. FORBES
(Special T 6 Times.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. A report that the banks had agreed, p.s a result of negotiations with the Government, to reduce the bank overdraft rates from 6 per cent, to 5 per cent, was not confirmed by the Prime Minister (tho Right Hon. G. W. Forbes) to-day. "I know nothing of the matter," he said. "It is pure speculation."
