Por Press Association AUCKLAND, Last Night. The Plunlcet Shield match, Auckland versus Wellington was continued at Eden Park to-day in lino weather on a fast easy 'wicket. At the close, Wellington had four wickets in hand and required only 15 to gain a lirst innings lead. Dempster and Tindill retrieved a poor start, the latter scoring a brilliant century in 280 minutes in his lirst appearance in representative cricket. Dempster batted soundly and later James played a line aggressive innings, forcing tho pace at theright time.
