London Business Strike Paralyses Traffic
COMMUNIST AGITATORS FOMENT TROUBLE United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright Received Sunday, 10.30 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 22. The unofficial strike of the London busmen against tho new speeding-up order commenced in the East End garages on Tuesday. It has now spread and is paralysing half the services, involving 10,000 men and 1891 buses. Communist agitators aro prominent in fomenting the trouble and are distributing “Red” literature in all the garages. Officials of tho Transport Workers’ Union are vainly endeavouring to persuade the men to return to work.
