ANDEKSON ROWE A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Mata Mata, on Wednesday, December 21, the contracting parties being Doris Irene, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs W. M. Eowo, of Mata Mata, and Eobert Melvin, eldest son of Mr and Mrs W. Anderson of Kimbolton Boad, Foilding. Tho Eev. A. C. Hampton officiated, and the wedding music was played by Mrs Hampton. The church was beautifully decorated by friends of the bride with pink Dorothy Perkins roses and carnations.
The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a pretty frock and long-sleeved coatee of parchment broderio Anglaise over carnation pink crepe-de-chine, and a picture. hat of pink summer felt to tone. She carried a sheaf of beautiful Christmas lilies.
Miss Joyce Eowe attended her sister as bridesmaid, and wore a frock of cornflower blue silk patterned in deeper blue and pink toscs, with a shorterbolero coat to match. She woro a picture hat of blue summer felt, and carried a bouquet of blue and pink sweet peas.
The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Gordon Anderson as best man.
Tho guests were entertained at the homo of the bride’s parents, Mrs Eowo wearing a smart frock of black crepe-de-chine Swiss, embroidered, a black tagel straw hat, and carrying a posy of mauve and lavender flowers.
Later, Mr and Mrs Anderson left for the north, where the honeymoon will bo spent, the bride wearing a frock of cherry georgette, with coat to match, and a cream Panama hat with cherry relief. Their future homo will be in the Feilding district.
