Trying to Get Mann Out of Gaol
LABOUR DELEGATION BOUND FOR LOSSIEMOUTH. United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, Dec. 29. Mr. George Lansbury and two colleagues are travelling to Lossiemouth, carrying a memorial urging the release of Tom Mann and Enhrys Llewellyn from prison in connection with the November demonstrations in London, on tho grounds that the conviction and nature of the prosecution were alien to modern temper. The memorial is signed by the majority of prominent Labour personages, including ex-Miuisters.
Mr. MacDonald replied to a telegram announcing the departure of tho delegation that the question had been fully debated in the House of Commons, but the Premier was always willing to receive his friends on a personal visit. Nevertheless, he must leave at 12.30 to-morrow to keep engagements.
Mr. Lansbury hopes to arrive at noon.
