The serious farm relief problem confronting the forthcoming democratic administration, is admitted to have become more acute to-day with the Department of Agriculture announcement of a surplus carry-over of export wheat which in Canada, Australia, Argentine and the United States on December 1 was 745,000,000 bushels, or 37,000,000 more than at the same date in 1931. Of that quantity United States holds 416,000,000 bushels, Canada 311,000,000, and the Argentine 18,000,000.
