Mrs. 11. Carmichael, of Tokomaru, left on Monday to take up h r residence in Ractihi. Air. Carmichael left somo days ago. Aliss O. Guy, who has been for several months in Hastings, has returned to Tokomaru. Aliss G. Guy is now visiting Hastings for a l’cw weeks. A very old resident and daughter of two of Wellington's earliest settlers in the person of Airs. Nancy Alitchc-li, died at Hatailai recently. The deceased ludy was well-known for her kindly disposition and devotion to her church activities. She spent most of her life in the Tawa Flat and Porirua districts, but since 1918 had been residing in Hataitai. Her husband, the late Air. J. Alitchell, predeceased her in 1906. Tho members of her family who survive her are: Alessrs. J. A. Alitchell (Longburn), A. A. Alitchell (Ivairanga), S. W. Alitchell (Te Puke district), Airs. Prcbblo (Rongotea), Airs. Roland Luke (Palmerston North), Alr3. F. J. Garlick (Auckland), Aliss Helen Alitchell (Hataitai); 22 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. The eldest daughter, Mrs. Owen, died somo six years ago.
