QUEENSLAND PARLIAMENT WITNESSES AN ASSAULT. OFFENDER TO EE SUMMONED TO THE BAR United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. BRISBANE, Dec. 14. A member of the Assembly assaulted another while the House was in session. This is the first incident of the kind iu the history of the Queensland Parliament. While the House was in committee, Mr E. Llewolyn (Labour) said that Mr E. Maher (Country Party) had "a filthy mind.” Maher walked across the Chamber and struck Llewelyn in the face. Maher was suspended for the remainder of the session. Later the Premier moved that Maher be summoned to attend at the Bar of the House, to answer a charge of having assaulted Llewelyn. This was agreed to.
