‘•WEEK ENDS ONLY" Advance reports on "Week Ends Only,” the Fox picture with Joan Bennett in tho leading role at the Tivoli Theatre, place it among the premier films depicting the newest fashions. Miss Bennett appears in twelve costumes, each cf them "something different” and all characterised by cle- ■ g :i r.t simplicity. One notable formal costume is of black chiffon velvet, witu Eton jacket effect in front, and backless as to bodice; its form-fitting skirt develops into a slight train. The surplice front, under the jacket effect, is of white chiffon velvet embroidered in tiny silver beads. Then there is a clever little sports pyjama suit that should make-it-a hit with the-younger girls. It is made of white shantung, with a bodice of blue-striped shantung, and a hand-painted scarf bearing nautical emblems. A smart street suit is of beige wool, with a large butterfly bow and' scarf of brown velveteen about the neck, and brown fox fur on the sleeves. Another street suit is - of gray basket-weave woollen fabric, with* white organdie collar and cuffs. At the neck .centre is a white camellia,' a change from the ever-present gardenia. Other dresses include a white pebble crepe formal; a blue diagonal wool and white suede winter sports suit; a white angel skin satin formal gown with sable collar: a white and red shantung pyjama costume, and a dinner gown of blue angel skin lace on sheer white net. The picture for Friday and-Sat-urday will be "Private Lives, stalling Norma Shearer and Robert Montgomery, Reginald Denny, Una Merkel and ,Teau Hersholt.
