H. SUTCLIFFE. finished innings—two uncompleted be■eaase of rain and one because he re-tired hurt-t —raise his Test average in his own country. At any rate, the fact that he has scored six Test centuries in- Australia to two in England is prima facie evidence that Australia’s Tests without a time-limit and with better weather give him more scope for reaching three figures when he does get set.
