LONDON, Nov. 16.
Tho Princo of Wales left Euston station to open Ulster’s new Parliament Buildings. Tho Union Jack flying on the public baths in Falls road, Belfast, was torn down last night. Tho police removed Republican posters protesting against tho visit and detained two women.
Tho Daily Mail's Belfast correspondent says tho reports of tho Prince of Wales’ visit arc stirring tho hearts ol people like a patriotic sacrament t>ecauso Ulster hemmed in by hostile territory is the “outpost of Empire” m an even truer sense than the remotest territories. Ulster is moreover subject to a continual challcngo on her to remain British. Nevertheless the enthusiastic welcome accorded to the Princo of Wales will demolish the whispering campaigns following the varxious modifications of the Royal programme. Even the Prince of Wales' desire owing to unemployment that expense on municipal decorations be avoided has been represented by the anti-British influences as an insult to Ulster. Thousands Crowding CityStreets EXTRAORDINARY PRECAUTIONS Received Wednesday, 11.30 p.m. BELFAST, Nov. 16. Gay flags are flying in readiness for the Princo of Wales’ visit to-morrow to open Parliament Buildings. Thousands have arrived from all parts of Ulster and are crowding tho streets. Nearly everyone is wearing the Prince of Wales’ feathers.
Tho streets aro heavily barricaded to marshal tho dense crowds along the processional route. Every precaution is being taken to ensure that no incident” will occur to mar the visit. Four officers of the special branch of Bcotland Yard are already in Belfast and six more travelled with tho Prince when he left London to-night and will be near him throughout the visit.
