The first of a series of evenings organised by the Fcildiug branch of the Labour party to provide funds to meet any distress arising from the present freezing workers’ trouble, yielded just on £ls. The Fcilding Pipe Band played outside the hall prior to .the cards. Later dance music was provided by the Tui Orchestra. The winners of the euchre competition were Mrs. iSmith and Mr. Thurston. Mr. Ellery also won a competition.
