ACCIDENT ON THE MAIN TRUNK LINE. —As a result of the derailment at kakariki of fourteen trucks and a van attached to a goods train from Wellington early Friday morning two Auekland-Wellington express trains were delayed and did not arrive at Thorndon until shortly after noon on Friday. Kakariki is twelve miles north of Feilding. The house in the top picture had a very narrow escape from serious damage. The lower photograph shows the bend made in the track.
