Chancellor von Papon has invited the Premiers of all the Federal to meet him at Stuttgart on Saturday to discuss the situation.
Drastic as Herr von Papen’s measures agaiust the Communists arc, they are not enough for the Nazis. Herr Hitler, speaking at Hamburg, said of the Nazis’ opponents: “When we come to settle accounts, heaven help you." Owing to Herr Hitler’s increasing pressure on Herr von Papen to outlaw tho Communists, the latter arc' preparing an elaborate underground organisation which would bo able to call, a general strike of Socialist and Catholic trade unions. However, warned members turn deaf ears to the Communist strike appeals.
General Rundstcdt has ordered the police, when necessary, to use the Arms Act energetically and shoot quickly. Ho has also issued a warning against the incitement to strike.
