Police Commandant Arrested in Bed
DISOBEDIENCE OF EMERGENCY DECREE Received Saturday, 1.15 a.m. BERLIN, July 22. Colonel Hciiuansberg, chief commandant of the Berlin police, and two others were arrested in bed for disobeying the emergency decree. Only a few minor election incidents enlivened the night.
Proceedings Against Recalcitrant Officials MANY COMMUNISTS ARRESTED. BERLIN, July 21. General Rundstadt decided to prosecute Grzesinski (chief of the Prussian police), Weiss and Hoimannsberg foxdisobeying orders immediately to vacate their posts. They are liable to imprisonment and a fine. A hundred Communists were arrested for distributing pamphlets urging a general strike.
