WHAT IS A BINGE?

A BULGE OR A BIFF The question “What is a binge?” arose at Glerkcnwcll County Court, England, recently. Miss Hilda Margaret Prance, who is employed by the 8.8. C., claimed £1 15/from a lorry-driver. She said that the lorry caused a “binge” in the corner of her car.

The Registrar (Mr Friend) expressed surprise that anyone from the 8.8. C. should use such an expression as “binge,” which he understood usually meant “the night before the morning after.” He suggested that she meant a dent or a bulge. Miss Prance: A bulge comes out. This went in. It was a biff.

The Registrar: You mean a deep depression, eh? Judgment was given for the amount claimed and costs.
