General Shirakawa, injured in the recent bomb outrage in Shanghai, died to-day about noon. The Japanese authorities are refraining from announcing the death, stating that the patient’s condition is grave. They have, however, suspended social functions and will not announce the death until the body is aboard the cruiser Hirato leaving to-morrow for Tokyo.
