REPLACING TRACTORS IN U.S. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Bcccived Tuesday, 2.0 a.m. CHICAGO, May 23. Horses are again coming into their own in tho Middle West States owing to tho low price of feed and the high price of tractor fuel. In Illinois and lowa IS horses arc at work for every tractor, and fully half the farm tractors are idle. ' Farmers, veterinarians, blacksmiths, small-town hankers and business men say that horses are being more used this year than for many years.
