Trade With Canada
NEW AGREEMENT OPERATES ON TUESDAY. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, May 21. The Hon. W, Downie Stewart, Minister for Customs, announced to-day that lie has now received advice from the Canadian Government that they are prepared to bring the Trade Agreement into force on Tuesday, May 24th. The Canadian authorities have been advised that that date will suit New Zealand and the necessary Order-in-Council and Proclamation will be dealt with by the Executive Council on Monday.
