Woodville Returned Soldiers Stage Enjoyable Function
The first of a series of social evonmgs to be held by the Woodville Returned Soldiers’ Association took place in the Soldiers’ Club on Friday. There ,was a good attendance of local returned men, while a of visitors were present from Pahiatua. During the evening solos were Rendered by Messrs Greaves, Hubbing, Ogg, Fannin, McLaughlan and Bick, a duet by Messrs Hutchinson and Thorne, violin solos by Mr. P. Knox, and • accompaniments were played by Messrs Parker, Boagey and Offwood. Community singing was also indulged in and after supper had been partaken of a most enjoyable evening was brought, to a close by the sinking of "Aula Lang Syne” and the National,Anthem.
