Calcutta Racing
RESTRICTION ON BETTING. REQUEST TO GOVERNMENT. CALCUTTA, Mlay 11. The Calcutta Corporation has decided to ask the Government to restrict betting on the racecourse to racehorse owners and bona fide members of the clubs. It is not likely that the Government will agree, but if it does it will mean the death-knell to racing in Calcutta.
