Double Murder
YOUTH USES AN AXE. FATE OF AGED COUPLE. LONDON, May 11. A 16-year-old youth, Ernst Waldow. has confessed to the brutal murder of an aged couple for whom he had done odd jobs, says the Berlin correspondent of tho Times. Entering the house with an axe. Waldow made a violent attack on the woman and killed her. He then attacked the husband and felled hun with a blow which killed him. When confronted with his accomplices, Waldow admitted that they had planned to waylay a lilm actress, Miss Lillian Harvey, armed with revolvers. They had made a sketch plan of her house and had fixed a robbery for tho evening of the day on which the double murder was committed. Instead of carrying this plan out Waldow sought refuge in a youths' hostel, where ho was arrested. Miss Harvey states that, as she always keeps a loaded revolver handy, tho young bandits would have Lad a surprise.
