League and Liberia
PLAN OF REORGANISATION NO ACCEPTANCE, NO LOAN British Official Wireless. RUGBY, Alay 20. At the opening of the League Council session at Geneva to-day Viscount Cecil represented Great Britain when the question of Liberia was considered. A report providing for the appointment by tho League and the United States of high officials to superviso administrative, financial and sanitary reforms was adopted, although the Secretary of State for Liberia said that he wrns not in a position to say if his Government would accept these measures. A loan of 247,000 dollars, as well as a moratorium, will not be negotiated until Liberia accepts the full plan of reorganisation provided for in the report.
