MINISTER’S PREDICTION United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received Sunday, 9.00 p.m. SYDNEY, May 22. The Minister of Agriculture, speaking at Temora, Hinted that the new Parliament might be the last as at present constituted. He indicated that if a composite Government resulted from the elections new States might be formed during the life of the forthcoming Parliament. Delay of Payment of Family Endowment AIR. LANG’S ORDERS. SYDNEY, Alay 21. The Commissioner of Family Endowment, iu a circular which ho is forwarding to the recipients of cheques to explain the delay in making payments, declares that tho delay was not due to his department, and that he was directed by the cx-Trcasurer, Air. Lang, to withhold further payments, and that he was also instructed that, if any persons inquired why tho payments had been stopped, ho was to state that it was owing to tho action taken by the Commonwealth Government. Lang System of Engaging Labour ABOLITION ANNOUNCED. SYDNEY, Alay 21. The Minister of Labour, Air. Dunningham, i 3 abolishing the Lang system of engaging labour at labour exchanges. He declared that in the past the allotment of work was virtually placed in the hands of a coterie that supported tho Lang Plan.
