Cheltenham Rabbit Board
ANNUAL MEETING At the annual meeting of the Cheltenham Rabbit Board, held at Feilding on Friday, the chairman (Mr. C. E. Johnston) referred to tho very satisfactory work done by; the board's inspectors. The balance-sheet showed that the whole of the rates struck had been collected, and the secretary (Mr. James Penney) received tho congratulations of the trustees for this satisfactory result. The trustees present were Messrs. A. E_ Sandilands, R. P. Kilgour, D. H. Kilgour and E. A. Palmer (stock inspector). Mr. Johnston, was re-elected chairman. The Government’s ten-acre farm scheme was mentioned by Mr. Palmer, who stated that he had bcen .instructcd by his department to make inquiries regarding suitable areas in Feilding and district. He would like tho board tb act as an advisory committep to assist in making valuations and ip- collecting information as to the suitability of the land available for tho purpose of the scheme. The board agreed to give the help required. v The rate for the current year was struck on tho same basis as last year.
