Brilliant Vaudeville
THE “FLYING WINSKILLS” AT THE REGENT. One of tlie cleverest vaudeville turns over seen on a Palmerston North stage is that provided by the “Plying Winskills,” now appearing at the Regent Theatre, and those who enjoy skill, thrill and humour'should not fail to sec them. The three artists do amazing feats on trapeze and horizontal bar, swinging dizzily from one to tho otner with a graceful ease that leaves the audience breathless. The comedian of the trio is not only a pastmaster of comedy, but in some respects is rue cleverest of the acrobats. His Chaplinesque humour is irresistible and causes roars of laughter. Particularly neat is hjs by-play with his headgear which almost appears to be endowed with intelligence. He meanders over the stage on a one-wheel cycle, and then cicates a storm of delighted applause by propelling himself across perched on top of a broomstick. In all their work the Winslcills arc swift and faultless, and their act adds a piquant note to an excellent picture programme.
