(From Our Own Correspondent.) Twenty attended me annual meeting of the Opiki school. Tnc balance sheet showed a credit of £SO Ms at the end of the financial year but nearly half of this sum had been spent on further improvements sinco that date. Tho report of the retiring committee stated that quite a numoe-r ot improvements had been carried out during tho year, the principal ones being tho erection of a new fence enclosing the school and gardens. A gross amount of £B7 had been raised during tho year per medium of a series of entertainments and a subscription list. Seven nominations for the committee were received, tho resulting ballot being in favour of Messrs G. Allwright (chairman), A. E. \Vhite (secretary), W. Jackson, G. J. Wilde and J. D. Aitcheson. Matters relating to tho dental clinic and Boys' and Girls' Agricultural Club were discussed and it was decided that parents whose children are receiving dental treatment should form a transport committee. A further scries of dances and euchro parties is to be held during the winter months to raise funds for further improvements, the incoming committee to interviov the ladies’ committee regarding the catering.
