(From Our Own Correspondent,} The annual meeting of householders was held on Monday evening, with a largo attendance of the general public. Mr. T. R. Vile was elected to the chair. The balanco sheet showed a credit of £4 Os 7d in the No. 1 account, with £2O 4s 9d in the No. 2 account. In his remarks the chairman pointed out that the balance in No. 2 account had been raised by the holding of euchre parties and dances during the winter monins. During the year advantage had been taken of relief work, and improvements had been effected to the grounds. Shrubs had also been purchased for the school gardens, together with sports material. A prize had also been awarded each child on breaking-up day, and a picnic held at the commencement of the term. Special thanks were accorded the ladies and musicians for their valued assistance at cuehro parties and dances.

Mr. E. Long, headmaster, submitted his annual report, which showed the average attendance at 81.1, just sufficient to hold the school's position in grade 30. Below this, would mean the loss of a teacher. The averago for last rear was 87.2, giving a good start for the current rear, the roll number being 88. Average attendance to date was 77. G, this falling off being due to tho prevalence of whooping cough among the children. Examination results were satisfactory, !) out of 10 gaining proficiency certificates, while other classes obtained 9(3 per cent. Two railway excursions were arranged during the year, the winter show at Palmerston North being visited, and the primary school sports in Feiuf’lng, ■where competing pupils gained 18s in prize money. After foes were paid 5s remained, this sum being devoted to tho sports fund. The headmaster conveyed thanks to the committee for the able and helpful manner in which they had carried out their duties. Reference was also made by the chairman to the school's flag, the tattered one being replaced with a new one, the gift of the Hon. John Cobbe, lor which a hearty vote of thanks was accorded. A vote of thanks was moved and seconded to the outgoing committee, also to tho auditor, Mr. A. Hutton. Tho following nominations were received: Mrs. A. Hutton, Messrs T. K. Vile, W. S. Page, D. Managh, A. Sterne, A. Wishnowsky, I. McLennan, V. Miles. On going to tho ballot the following five were elected: Messrs T. R. Vile, W. S. Page, D. Managh, A. Sterno and A. "Wishnoksky. Mr. I. McLennan congratulated the incoming committee and wished them as successful a year as the previous one. Mr. E. Cowdrey moved ahearty vote of thanks to tho chair. At a later meeting Mr. T. R. Vile was elected chairman and Mr. W. S. Page secretary and treasurer.
