With the exception of tho fat cattle section, entries at tho Addington market yesterday wero smaller than for somo .time. Store sheep: Tho smallest entry of lambs for months; a keen salo with a slight advance for rape lambs. Adult sheep offering wero also tho smallest for a long period and there was an erratic market with good sound-mouth ewes firmer. Values wore: Medium two-tooth crossbred ewes, to 14s 9d; good six and eight-tooth, 11s Gd to 14s; ordinary, to 9s; good s.m., 10s to 12s, ordinary s.m., to 7s 9d; good 6 and 8th. half bred ewes, to 14s; ordinary, to Ds; good s.m. half bred ewes, 9s lOd to 10s lOd; aged ewes, Is 9d to . r >s Gd; good-2, 4 and 6-tooth half bred wethers, 11s to 12s lOd; ordinary, 8s 6d to 10s; good rapo lambs, 10s 6d to 11s 9d; medium, 7s 6d to 10s; ordinary, 4s to 6s 6d; extra good halfbred ewo lambs, 11s to 12s 6d; medium ewe lambs, 7s to 8s Cd. • Fat lambs: A smaller entry of 0200 head with tho quality good. Freezing buyers were in tho market and there wa3 a free sale at full schedule rates. Values were: Extra prime, to 25s 4d; prime, ISs to 19s Gd; medium, 13s 6d to 17s Gd; light, 10s to 13s. Fat sheep: An entry of 4700 head and a keen sale with a slight advance for all grades. Freezing buyers were again operating heavily. Values were: Extra prime heavy wethers, to 22s 6d; primo heavy, 17s 6d; primo mciffumweight, 14s "to 15s 3d; ordinary, 12s to 13s Gd; light, 9s Gd to 11s 6d; extra prime heavy ewes, to 16s 4d; prime heavy, 11s "to 13s Gd; medium-weight prime, 8s 7d to 10s Gd; ordinary, 7s to Ss 6d; light, 4s to 6s Gd. Fat cattle: An entry of 415, mostly of indifferent quality; a dull salo with a dcclino in values lor all classes of 10s to 15s per head: This brought, beef to a level, per lOOlbs. scarcely equalled within 'recollection. Best beef made 19s to 229 lOOlbs. medium, 15s to ISs; secondary, to 14s; rough, down to 10s, extra primo heavy steers, £ll 12s 6d; primo heavy, £7 5s to £9 15s; primo medium-weight, £5 to £7; ordinary quality, £3 os to £4 10s; light, to £3; extra prime heifers, £8 7s 6d; prime, £5 to £6 ss; medium, £5 to £4 15s; light, to £2 10s; extra prime cows, to £7 12s 6d; prime, £4 5s to £5 15s; ordinary, £2 10s to £4; aged, to £2 ss. Fat pigs: A good entry. Tho principal animation in the market was for light-weight porkers which recorded an advance in values. It has been decided that in future at Addington pigs will not be placed in the porker pens of weights over lOOlbs. Values were: Choppers, 30s to £4 8s 6d; baconcrs, 38s 6d to 45s 6d; heavy, 47s Gd to 54s Gd; extra heavy, to £3 2s 6d (average price per lb., old to 4}d); porkers, 32s to 345; heavy, 36s Gd to 3Ss (average price per lb., 5d to 6d).
