No Progress in Search For Kidnapped Baby
New York Times Broadcast. HOPEWELL, N.J., April 19. Now Jersey police reported no progress to-day in their investigation oi the Lindbergh kidnapping. The liner Europa, docking on Monday at Brooklyn, was searched for the Lindbergh baby after an anonymous message said tho infant was on Imard. The search was futile.
John Hughes Curtis, Norfolk negotiator, was reported in conference again on Monday with Lindbergh. His colleagues said there were no developments in Norfolk.
The arrival of a red monoplane at Princctown, N.J., aroused considerable conjecture to-day. The pilot and a passenger about 4U years old were taken by automobile to the Lindbergh home. They refused to talk to tho State police and entered the house, where it was believed they conversed with Colonel Lindbergh for two hours. The ’plane came from the west and was understood to liavo been flying two days from its point of departure.
