WORLD TRIBUTE TO A GREAT FRENCH STATESMAN. Representatives of fifty-seven nations were present at the funeral of the late Aristide Briand, which took place in Paris on 12th March. Great crowds lined the route of the procession to the Passy Cemetery, a temporary resting-place until the later interment at Cockerel, his Normandy residence .The cortege, preceded by, carriages piled, high, with wreaths, is shows, about to cross the pont de la Concorde.
