Coalition Caucus
PRIME MINISTER ABSENT. “SPIRIT OF HARMONY,” SAYS ME COATES Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 19. A caucus of the Coalition Party was held this morning. The Prime Minister (Mr Forbes) did not attend. Mr Coates stated the meeting was held to discuss the special emergency legislation being introduced into the House to-night to make provision for dealing with any civil disturbance that might occur. Caucus also discussed the more difficult portions of the National Expenditure Adjustment Bill. Mr Coates afterwards said a spirit of harmony prevailed throughout the unco ting.
