During his address at the laying of tlio foundation stone of the new Presbyterian Church at Seatoun on Saturday, his Excellency the Governor-Gen-eral, Lord Bledisloc, mentioned in his reference to the big effort to be made by the women of New Zealand, headed by her Excellency Lady Bledisloc, to provide for the needy and distressed, that the date was the anniversary of their wedding. The announcement was the signal for an outburst of applause from the assemblage.
