From Our Own Correspondent. Methodist Church. In connection with the children's anniversary services which were held on Sunday, April 10, a short’ concert programme was staged on Monday evening, ■when a fair number attended, despite •the unsettled and rather wintry atmosphere . Kcv. F. Copeland, of Fcilding, acted as chairman and the following items were contributed by the children: Solos, Margaret and Frances Mason; ducts, Gwen Fergusson and Frances Mason; recitations, Doris Field, Merle Managli, Doris Markham, Gwen Fergusson, Frances Mason, Audrey Fergusson, Malcolm Stewart and l'hilip Mason. Hymns were also sung by the children, and the event of the evening, the prize giving, was undertaken by the Kcv. Mr. Bayliss. Previous to the concert programme Mr. Kilvington, ox Fcilding, officially welcomed Kcv. Mr. Bayliss here, ho having been recently appointed minister to the Halcombo circuit. Further words of welcome were extended by Kcv. Mr. Fotheringham and Kcv. Mr. Copeland. Mr. Bnyuss suitably responded. The serving of refreshments brought the pleasant unu enjoyable evening to a close. Personal. Miss C. Richfield, of Rongotca, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. 1.. W'ishnowsxy. Miss A.
