Butter and Cheese
The New Zealand Dairy Produce Board has received the following market report, dated April 15, from its London office:— Butter New Zealand: Salted, 106/ to 109/ per cwt. (108/ to 110/); unsalted, 113/ to 116/ (114/ to 116/); first whey, 102/ (104/); second whey, 100/ (102/). Deliveries of New Zealand, 1268 tons; in store, 5350 tons. Australian: Salted and unsalted, 105/ to 107/ (107/ to 109/). Doliveri.es of Australian, 2100 tons; in store, 2062 tons.
Argentine: Unsalted, 100/, 102/ up to 104/ (100/ to 102/). South African: 102/ to 105/ (100/ to 105/). Danish: F.0.b., 103/ (101/); spot, 121/ to 122/ (117/ to lIS/). Dutch: Unsalted, 130/ to 132/ (128/ to 130/). The nmrkot is quiet and retail prices arc unchanged, Danish being quoted at 103 and New Zealand at 3/2. The week’s trade in New Zealand butter has been the slowest experienced this season.
Cheese New Zealand: White, 61/6 to 62/ per cwt. (63/); coloured, 62/6 to 63/ (64/). Deliveries of Now Zealand, 21,500 crates; in store, 90,297 crates. Australian: White, 61/ (62/); coloured, 62/ (63/). Canadian; White and coloured. 68/ to 70/ (68/ to 82/). Deliveries of Canadian, 4250 boxes; in store, 97,368 boxes.
