Tho interior of the building was tastefully decorated with streamers of pink in light and dark shades, and approximately 100 couples took the floor. Mr Douglas McKenzie carried out the duties of M.C., whiles a dance extra was furnished by Mr Bcrgersen. A dainty supper was served by the ladies, who rendered very able assistance towards making the function a success. It i 3 pleasing to report that the condition of Aliss Maizie Teague, who. has been an inmate of the Palmerston North public hospital for two months, is showing improvement and it is hoped that she will soon be able to leave the institution .Miss Teague was a tower of strength'to the Carnarvon Ladies’ Hockey Club in 1931 and before, and by her keenness and good play gained representative honours. Unfortunately this year she will not be able to play and her place will be hard to fill for general all-round play and her team mates will greatly miss her, and will wish her a speedy recovery from her long illness.
