Murder Suspect Fired at by Citizens

The police hunt for the WilkinsonDenzcl murderer was intensified to-day. Frank Corbett, a resident of Bankstown, aa outer suburb, told the detectives that the mau they wanted called at his house this morning. Corbett, who had given the same man a meal the week before, ordered him off the premises, and while lie was escaping through the scrub near by Corbett fired his rifle at him, but without effect. He recognised the man’s face by a photograph appearing in the newspapers, and intended to shoot him on sight next time.
The municipal council at Alexandria urges that when the murderer is convicted there should not be political interference with the Court’s verdict.
