Clothes and Boots Drive on Saturday
The organised effort of the Central Relief Committee to secure a supply of clothes and boots will eventuate on Saturday morning between 7.30 and 8.30. Motorists willing to assist arc asked to be at the Cuba street depot at 7.15 and, assisted by Boy Scouts, they will each canvass ono street in the city. Householders able to make up a parcel arc asked to have it ready by 7.30 a.m. and if placed at the front door it will be picked up by the motorist. Last year the drive was a great success, over 2500 parcels being collected, and as a result the unemployed were materially assisted. Further supplies will be required i.uis winter and the Relief Committee wish to secure whatever is available by means of Saturday's effort.
