Valedictory
Friends of tho Clark family, until recontly of Longburn, met on Monday last to show their appreciation JE the vory valuable sorvices rendered by them to the goneral good of the district, and particularly for thoir work in connection, with tho Methodist Church there. Mrs. thark has boon treasurer of tho Ladies’ Guild for a number of years, and Miss Clark has been organist for both Sunday school and church. Both ladies have proved themsclvos loyal and competent to a high degree. During tho ovoning several competitions were held and the timo passed in pleasant social fellowship. After supper, tho Rev. J. D. McArthur, on behalf of xarngbum friends, presented Mrs. Clark and tho Misses Clark each with a travelling case, expressing the Tegret of all that thoy had lost such fine workers for the Church. Mrs. W. H. Davey, president of tho Guild, also spoke, wishing the guests the best of o,anything in thoir new home. Mr. Clark responded very fittingly on behalf of tho recipients.
