The. third tennis test between Japan and Australia was concluded in hot weather, which affected the Japanese players, who went down by ten rubbers to two. Results of yesterday’s play were:— Singles: Hopman beat Satoh, 6—o, 6 —3; Crawford beat Harada, 3—6, 56, 6—3; Sproulo beat Nunoi, 7—5, 6
Doubles: Crawford and Hopman beat Harada and Satoh, 6—4, 6 —4.
In a Davis Cup trial match Turnbull (South Australia) beat McGrath (New South Wales), 3—6, 6— 2, 7—5.
