Painleve Abandons Task of Forming a Cabinet
RIGHT CENTRE LEADERS REFUSE TO JOIN. United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Sunday, 5.30 p.m. PARIS, Feb. 20. M. Painleve is abandoning the task of forming a Cabinet owing to the refusal of the Right Centre leaders Mm. Laval, Tardieu and Rcynaud to join as M. Painleve had not offered them the Ministry of the Interior. It is expected that President Doumer will invite M. Boncour or M. Barthou to form a Government.
