P.N. Wool, Skin, Hide And Tallow Sale

Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their monthly sale of wool, skins, hides and tallow, held on Tuesday. A largo catalogue of all descriptions was offered to tho usual bench of buyers, -tt-ho competed spiritedly for lines to suit their particular requirements. Wool: Competition was brisk and general, particularly for fine sorts, but there was practically no chango shown in values. Sheepskins: A keen demand, and here again fino sorts were, more sought after, but prices for this class, as well as for pelts, wero unchanged, but others depreciated Jd per lb. Hides: Calfskins wore somewhat dull

at prices 3d to 3d below our last sale. Cow hides were on a par, but ox bides wero in very strong demand at Id to lld up for abattoir. Tallow; Thoro was good general competition at late rates. Salted: 3-wools lOd to lid; woolly pelts, 8d to 9d; pelts, 7d to 9d; damaged pelts 5d to Gd. Hides: Ox, heavy, 63d to 7d; medium to 53d; light to 4Jdc ;ow, heavy, 3|d; to 4 3-8 d; medium, 3|d to 4 3-8 d; light 3 7-Sd to 41d; calfskins, heavy, 3ld to 4|d; heavy, cut, 2ld to 25-8 d; light, 31d to 43d; cut, Id to 2d; slippy Id to 2d.
