Hull (scr) 3. Teams contest, England-Australia v. Canterbury: P. Lunn (Canterbury) beat T. Tompkins (Australia); time, 1.26. W. Hull (England) beat N. Gray (Canterbury); time, 1.22. L. Packer (Australia) beat C. Blacklock (Canterbury); time, 1.26 4-5. Result: England-Aus-tralia 5 points, Canterbury 4 points. New Year scratch race.—First heat: W. Hull 1, P. Lunn 2; time, 1.25.
