Mayor's Christmas Appeal
To the Editor. Sir,—l should like through the columns of your paper to express to those citizens -who subscribed to the Mayor’s Christmas appeal my sincere thanks and appreciation for the splendid response made. Notwithstanding the many calls now being made on the public, the result proves that a deserving appeal will always receive a ready response from the citizens. As a result of the liberal support accorded the appeal, many of our people enjoyed a brighter Christmas than otherwise they would havo had. Their appreciation is evident in the many letters and personal expressions of thanks received from practically all of those assisted. May I again express my genuine appreciation to the citizens for the thoughtfulness that prompted such generous and ready support? —I am. etc., „ A. E. MANSFORD, Jan. 4, 1932. Mayor. £ s. d.
