Wednesday’s Korero

AT OPEKA HOUSE

The Public Korero which has been organised by tho Manawatu Lavage Club in aid of the Central Relief funds, will take place at the Opera House on Wednesday evening next, and intending patrons should note that tho box plan opens at 10 o’clock on Monday morning.

The members have been rehearsing for some time in items that will furnish a programme replete with amusement and -variety. The opening scene, to the accompaniment of music by the talented Savage Orchestra, will be a most effective one, introducing a stirring haka and the presentation of captive wahines to tho tribe. In “The Sheik” will bo found a novel play which will be presented by an excellent caste. The Savage Pierrots will add considerably to tho evening’s entertainment with amusing sketches and sengs. Rangatira B. J. Jacobs and T. Simpson will collaborate in new numbers, and with humorous elocutionary items and songs by Savage F. A. Wollerman, the lighter side of the programme will bo fully sustained. Savages A. Hutchdis and J. R. Jeromsen will give one of their mystifying exhibitions of thought-transference. There is no doubt that the public will respond to the effort of the club to augment tho funds of the Central Relief Committee, as the excellence of the entertainment is assured.
