Improvement Wanted To Whirokino Road
LOCAL BODIES ACTIVE,
An important conference of local bodies interested in the Foxton-Lcvin main highway, convened by the ioxton Chamber of Commerce, was held at 1 oxton last evening when it was decided to urge the Main Highways Board to immediately undertake the work ot deviating and raising the fioodable portion of the road and provide additional outlets for flood waters. Tho conference was attended by delegates from the Palmerston North Chamber of Commerce, Manawatu County Council, Manawatu Automobile Association, Poxton Borough Council, Moutoa Drainage Board and Mr. J. Linklater, iu.P. Mr. J. Iv. Hornblow, chairman of tho Foxton Chamber of Commerce, presided.
